The Batucada Villa Pipol brought two awards from the XII International Festival of Music Bands of Giulianova. The Lanzarote group won first prize in choreography, and fourth overall.
A total of 12 groups, from different parts of the planet, participated in this festival during the past weekend. Each of them, with their characteristics and peculiarities, made for a few days that, through music, linguistic differences took a back seat and the official language was music.
Countries such as France, Poland and Lithuania, with their military bands and majorettes, obtained the first three prizes in the musical category.
The Batucada Villa Pipol, which was the only Spanish group participating in the event, stood out for its spectacularity and staging, for which it had the gymnasts of the Isla Lanzarote School, which meant that they took the first prize for choreography.
The trophies obtained are exhibited in the Isla Lanzarote gymnastics and dance school.
