The Arrecife City Council has sent a press release in which it boasts of the "giant in bloom" on Manolo Millares street, one of the 298 flamboyant specimens located in the city.

"When passing through Manolo Millares street in Arrecife, the colorful and leafy giant in bloom, a flamboyant (Delonix Regia) from the Leguminosae family, catches the eye," the Council points out, noting that the Department of Parks and Gardens "aims to care for and maintain this type of tree so that it looks its best in summer."

A total of 298 specimens of this species are located in the municipality, "with different ages and states of conservation, this specimen at the exit of Arrecife being the largest (16 meters in diameter of the crown and around six meters in height at its extreme point) and undoubtedly the most spectacular and representative of the species in the city," the City Council highlights.
