Arrecife is celebrating the 6th Chamber Music Week "Concert of Professors". The first concert was held at 8:00 p.m. last Thursday at the Agustín de la Hoz House of Culture with the "Wind Quintet", from the Atlantic Orchestra. Quintet formed by five professors, Susana Rodríguez - Horn, Texenén Déniz - Flute, José Luis Pascual - Oboe, Diego Díaz - Clarinet and Miguel Mesa - Bassoon.
The audience was able to enjoy three Short Pieces by J. Ibert, Divertimento by J. Hayden, 3 Shanties by M. Arnold ending with Ancient Hungarian Dances by F. Farkas. The musicians highly valued the facilities of the House of Culture, a capacity that meets all the conditions for a chamber concert. In addition, during these days of their stay in Lanzarote they have taught classes to a group of students in the facilities of the Arrecife Civic Center.
The next appointment will be on Saturday the 9th with the "Metal Wind and Wood Wind Quintet", from the Atlantic Orchestra that will offer three concerts, the first at 12:00 noon in front of the Music Kiosk, at 12:30 and at 8:00 p.m. at the Agustín de la Hoz House of Culture, all concerts are free.
