More than fifty artisans will participate this year in the 10th Craft Fair to be held in the town of Puerto del Carmen from this Thursday until August 20. The participants, in addition to showing their products, will carry out live work while selling and making contacts for future orders.

Those who come to this exhibition will be able to see products from Lanzarote and each of the other islands that make up the Canary Archipelago. In total, 20 stands of 25 square meters will be installed in El Varadero. The site will be complemented by a tent 50 meters long and 12 meters wide in which the Malpaís de La Corona Folk Group will set up a photographic exhibition, in medium and large format, of an investigation work on the clothing of the Island in the 19th and 20th centuries.

The exhibition will feature a set of parallel activities linked to popular culture. In this sense, there will be culinary tastings and exhibitions of the games of Lata Majorera, Salto del Pastor and Lucha Canarias. In addition, the folk groups Malpaís de la Corona, Guadarfia, Gaida and Tahod will perform.

OPENING

The Mayor of Tías, José Juan Cruz, accompanied by the Councilor for Culture, Youth and Festivals, Rafael González, will inaugurate the exhibition this Thursday at 8 p.m. The mayor highlighted: "Once again, and there are already ten, we bring the essence of our artisan reality closer to the island population and visitors. In an enviable environment, in El Varadero, next to the sea, in the middle of August, we once again enjoy this craft show." In addition, José Juan Cruz highlighted that the increase in demand is seen every year.
