Sports weekend
This weekend, not only beauty will be the protagonist in the Famara festivities, but also sports. The Department coordinated by Víctor Barreto has organized the Famara beach race this Saturday, August 30, starting at 6:00 p.m. It is expected that a hundred athletes will participate. Those interested can register one hour before the competition, there is no age limit. The little ones will run half a kilometer and the older ones two kilometers. The first three will receive an award, but different prize packages will be raffled among all the participants.
In addition, that same day, at 11:00 a.m. in Caleta de Caballo, the beach handball event will also take place. This event is configured as a day of promotion of this sports practice. In this town, the male and female base categories will play in the sand. The purpose is to bring fun through sports.
