With great solemnity, the residents of Teguise honored their patron saint, Nuestra Señora del Carmen, on the day of her saint's day.

At 12 noon, with the capacity allowed by Sanidad, the celebration of the Eucharist began, presided over by the parish priest, Matías Gula. The choir formed by the residents of Teguise, including the town crier, performed the songs for such a special celebration. The first rows were occupied by the civil and military authorities, and the parishioners completed the allowed capacity.

At the end of the Eucharist, the members of the Teguise Music Band were waiting outside the church next to the tree. The band performed some compositions that were greatly applauded by the audience. Then, and in compliance with the program, a wine of honor was served in the facilities of the Casa-Museo del Timple. This year and for the second consecutive year due to the pandemic, there was no procession through the main streets of the historic center of the Royal Villa.
