The workshop ChatGPT: How to use AI to improve your teaching work, which took place this past Thursday, has ended with great success in participation. The course taught by the expert in educational technology, Fernando Posada Prieto, brought 130 teachers knowledge of Artificial Intelligence to transform their teaching methodologies.
During the session, teachers explored the possibilities of ChatGPT, learning to create educational prompts and to integrate AI in the classroom for a more interactive and personalized teaching. The high participation and positive responses anticipate an era of innovation in the classrooms of Lanzarote.
Generative chatbots based on AI offer a very interesting tool for teachers as an assistant for the elaboration of research papers and the creation of materials. As a result, "the school cannot look the other way with these technological advances and must face its incorporation into the classroom," said Fernando Posada.
"It may be interesting to familiarize students with the details of prompt engineering so that they use this tool in a safe, critical, effective and elaborate way," added the expert in educational technology. "And this challenge requires proposing research tasks to students emphasizing the elaborative process and the presentation/discussion that only in the valuation of a final product," he pointed out.
"This workshop has marked a milestone in our commitment in the educational field," said César Miralles, director of the Martínez Foundation. "Our goal is to support teachers in their training in digital skills, specifically in the field of artificial intelligence, a technology that we cannot ignore and that represents an opportunity for teachers."
