'Taro, the conversational assistant of the Centers, awarded as the best tourist destination chatbot in Fitur

It prevailed over the Canaryfulness and Quito Guide proposals in the grand final of the 'Chatbots Tourism Awards 2020'

'Taro', the conversational assistant of the Centers, prevailed over Canaryfulness (relaxing sounds of the nature of the Canary Islands) and Quito Guide (which answers any questions about Quito) in the tourist destination category of the 'Chatbots Tourism Awards 2020', a contest organized by Segittur and Fitur, with the collaboration of Planeta Chatbot, which aims to recognize the most innovative chatbot and conversational technology solutions to improve the experience of tourists before, during and after their trip.

The president of the Cabildo of Lanzarote and of the Board of Directors of the Centers of Art, Culture and Tourism, María Dolores Corujo, present at the award ceremony held in the Fitur environment, Know How & Export, together with the CEO of the entity, Benjamín Perdomo, congratulated the "team of the ICT department of the Centers, which has created and developed an initiative that places Lanzarote at the forefront of cognitive tourism through an innovative and sustainable tool, which offers reliable and verified information on the work of César Manrique, and on the island, in general, in a friendly and interactive way to take a further step in improving the visitor experience".

'Taro' is a project led by the ICT (Information and Communication Technologies) department of the Centers, which is enriched by the work carried out by the Customer Experience team and the contributions of the users themselves.
