Around midday this Tuesday, the residents of El Reducto were able to witness a cannon being moved by workers from the Heritage area of the Cabildo of Lanzarote.
The artifact was in the home of a deceased person, and their relatives contacted Patrimonio, with the intention of donating it. Apparently, they once found it in the bay of Arrecife.
After organizing a visit to the home, the service coordinator analyzed the cannon and concluded that, indeed, it had heritage values, so she initiated the process to move it to the capital's premises where the rest of the archaeological collections are located.
