In the midst of the festivities in honor of the Virgen del Carmen in Villa de Teguise, the Councilor for Culture, Noelia Umpiérrez, described the development of the first edition of the Teguise Festival, Street Theater, as very positive. An open leisure proposal that brought witty actors such as [Leandre->http://www.leandre-claire.com/] or Riki López to the stages of the town, finding its epilogue in the performance starring Circodedos in the Plazuela.

For Umpiérrez, despite the strong wind conditions, the public attendance was important. "The performances managed to bring dynamism and brought a lot of optimism to the neighbors who were able to enjoy the calls", he said.

The festivities continue this week with the dispute of tournaments and the performance on Tuesday of "Yaneli and Lili Quintana" in the Convent of Santo Domingo, with free admission as usual. Already on Wednesday, Día del Carmen, a non-working day in the municipality, it will be the turn of the religious procession at 12:00 hours.
