The San Ginés festivities concluded this Thursday night with the burning of spectacular fireworks, which on several occasions drew applause from the numerous people who came to El Reducto beach. Before the fireworks, there was a performance by the Lanzarote timple player Alexis Lemes and the palmeros "Taburiente", whose music pleased the audience.
Around 10:30 p.m., the sky of Arrecife was illuminated with fireworks. The gunpowder of noise and color shone on the Arrecife coast, before the surprised gaze of the citizens.
The residents enjoyed this pyrotechnic show, prepared by the Luz family, who have been in charge of burning fireworks for more than a decade. Impressed by the colors that were drawn in the sky, the residents of Arrecife took out their cameras and mobile phones to capture the beautiful image of the sky of the capital of Lanzarote.
With this act, the patron saint festivities came to an end, which have been a complete success in terms of participation.
Concert in El Reducto
In addition, El Reducto beach was also the setting chosen to say goodbye to the San Ginés festivities with a musical event. Bathers and visitors who were on the beach this Thursday afternoon were surprised when the first musical notes of the timple player Alexis Lemes and his musicians began to sound. Lemes thus fulfilled his dream of being able to play within the framework of these patron saint festivities.
Little by little, the followers of this fused music approached the vicinity of the stage. Lemes made the public enjoy his compositions.
After the performance of Alexis Lemes, it was the turn of the mythical palmera band "Taburiente", with Luis Morera at the head. "Taburiente" took a tour of some of their greatest hits, with more acoustic sounds, which were hummed by the entire audience. In addition, Morera dropped a message about respect for peoples, Canarian identity and the conservation of the environment.
