“Throughout the summer, the public response to the extraordinary public transport services enabled to attend and return from the popular festivals is being very satisfactory, both in the number of people who use the service and in not having to regret any incident”, says Marcos Bergaz, Minister of Transport of the first island corporation.
“The objective of these actions is to have safe parties, in which unnecessary risks on the road are avoided, and to make the maxim of if you drink don't drive a reality, use public transport, for the safety of everyone”, adds Bergaz.
The rate of the service will be that corresponding to the application of the current traveler-kilometer rate for that line, as stated in the resolution signed on this day.
The transport company must provide a high-capacity passenger vehicle, thus guaranteeing safe mobility for attendees, also indicating from the Cabildo of Lanzarote that, if necessary, another bus must be available.
Another of the conditions required by Transportation is that, due to the characteristics of the service, the Haría City Council must have the presence of the Local Police at the departures in order to guarantee order in the event of any incident that may occur.
