San Bartolomé CF receives the City Council's Gold Medal for its 50th anniversary

The event was held last Saturday at the Farmer's Monument

The City Council awarded the Gold Medal of the municipality to San Bartolomé CF for its 50th anniversary, in an event held last Saturday at the Farmer's Monument taking advantage of the celebration of the Assembly of the Las Palmas Football Federation that took place for the first time in Lanzarote. The event was attended by the mayor of the municipality, Isidro Pérez, the president of the Cabildo of Lanzarote, María Dolores Corujo, and the Minister of Sports, Alfredo Mendoza, as well as the president of the team, Juan Elvira Tabares, and the members of the board of directors. 

Isidro Pérez, stressed that "it is an honor to grant this well-deserved award to a club that is part of the sporting and social history of the municipality." "It is worth noting the work that San Bartolomé CF has carried out during these 50 years from the base, instilling values in the youngest," said the mayor. 

The Councilor for Sports, Raúl de León, congratulated the Club on behalf of the Corporation and invited them to continue with the sporting and educational work that it has been carrying out in the municipality during these years. 

After the event at the Farmer's Monument, the Pedro Espinosa Football Field ‘Colón’, the derby between CD Tinajo and San Bartolomé CF was played. At the beginning of the match, the City Council, the mayor, dedicated a few words to the Club before the more than 600 attendees who came to see the match and offered the Gold Medal to the fans.
