A Friday to remember in Puerto Calero thanks to the Spanish singer Momo Cortés and his band, who offered an exquisite journey through the musical life of maestro Freddie Mercury and his hits with Queen, so that the totally dedicated public ended up becoming an essential part of this two-hour concert promoted by the Yaiza City Council as a leisure offer during Holy Week with the collaboration of the Tourist Centers of the Cabildo of Lanzarote and Calero Marinas.

Only the first song of the repertoire was needed for Momo, interpreter and pianist, to have the assistance on his side, supported by the instrumental quality of his musicians, Manolo Gil, keyboard; Diego Miranda, bass; Óscar del Ramo, drums; Sergio Rivas, guitar; and the voices of the backing singers Sandra de Victoria and Esther Peñas.

With mythical Queen songs and also performing unforgettable songs from the eighties such as Michael Jackson's Billie Jean, Momo ate up the stage; his charisma is indisputable and the public caught that virtue from the first moment, so the artist, with 15 years of success behind him interpreting the musical legacy of Freddie Mercury, read this reception and was encouraged to get off the stage to sing and dance with his audience.

Not even a few drops of rain that fell on the Puerto Calero square during the last part of the concert could appease the emotions, on the contrary, people asked for more and Momo had reserved We Are The Champions for the stellar moment of his farewell.

The magnetism of culture united British, Germans, Canarians, Spaniards and people of so many other nationalities who spoke the universal language of music and its enjoyment, oblivious to passports, religions or customs. And what borders can Bohemian Rhapsody, We Will Rock You or the twenty songs of the Puerto Calero concert have, including Tanto amor no es bueno, a version adapted by Momo to Spanish of Too much Love will kill you, authored by Brian May, guitarist and composer of Queen, who sponsored one of Momo's albums, a gesture that sheds light on the value of the artist invited to Puerto Calero. The public enjoyed a great show and the seven artists on stage had a great time with him.
