Papagayo has been chosen as the Best Beach in Spain of 2019 by the readers of Condé Nast Traveler Spain. "This protected golden sandbank, located in the south of Lanzarote, has won the vote by a landslide", highlights the luxury travel and lifestyle magazine.
"In the south of the island of Lanzarote, in a virgin environment of extreme beauty and protected under the umbrella of the Natural Park of Los Ajaches, is the wild beach of Papagayo. With views of the neighboring island of Lobos and Fuerteventura, it highlights its fine golden sand and the quality of its waters, so transparent that sometimes acquire an emerald color so intense that many Caribbean beaches would want for themselves", begins the news in which the luxury travel and lifestyle magazine announces, in its digital edition, the election of Papagayo as 'Best Beach of Spain 2019' by its readers.
The Tourism Promotion Councilor of the Cabildo de Lanzarote, Ángel Vázquez (PP), has thanked the readers of Condé Nast Traveler Spain for this election "as it is a magnificent piece of news that further enhances Lanzarote as a tourist destination and demonstrates the quality, care and recognition enjoyed by Lanzarote's beaches, among which Papagayo undoubtedly stands out for its spectacular beauty".
"Regardless of the structuring and launching of new product lines that we are addressing, such as sports or wine and gastronomy, it is very important to show our landscape strengths, specifically in terms of our beaches, as they are part of the list of main motivations that attract tourists who visit us", added Vázquez, who in turn is president of the Board of Directors of the Society for the Promotion of Foreign Affairs of Lanzarote (SPEL-Turismo Lanzarote).
