Next Saturday, February 12, at 9:00 p.m., at the Municipal Theater of Tías, the legendary musicians Pancho Varona and Antonio García de Diego will present their show "Sabina: the naked songs", in which, hand in hand, they will undress the songs they have composed with Joaquín Sabina.
Pancho Varona is a guitarist and music composer. Although he was part of the defunct band Viceversa, he is especially known for accompanying Joaquín Sabina since the early 80s, for whom, in the company of Antonio Garcia de Diego, he has collaborated in the composition of many of his most popular songs. He has also composed songs for other artists, such as Ana Belén, Manolo Tena, Luz Casal and Pasión Vega, among others.
For his part, Antonio Garcia de Diego was part of bands such as Los Canarios, Franklin and participated in the musical Jesucristo Superstar. His most publicly known professional career has been spent composing and accompanying singers such as Joaquín Sabina, Miguel Ríos, Pancho Varona, Víctor Manuel and Estopa.
Tickets for the event, at a price of 15 euros, are on sale at Luna Record in Arrecife and Playa Honda, the Cabildo's Culture and Education area, the Puerto del Carmen Municipal Tourism Office, the Tías Culture Department and the Tías Municipal Theater (in the latter only one hour before the concert). The event is organized by the Art-Bembé production company in collaboration with the Tías City Council.
