The residents of Mozaga celebrated their big day this Monday, December 13, in which they paid tribute to their patron saint, the Virgin of Santa Lucía. The image was adorned with flowers and the devotees paraded the throne through the streets of the town to bless the town and its citizens until next year.
On the big day of the festivities, a playback for adults and children was also organized, in which the entire town participated since, according to the Festival Committee, "some sang and others sewed costumes, decorated the hall or directed the rehearsals."
The festivities will continue during the next weekend, when they will lower the curtain.
Next Saturday, December 18, there will be a snack for the residents of the town, in which recognition will be given to the oldest person in the town.
The festivities will come to an end on Sunday the 19th. That day, at 1 p.m., there will be a popular Canarian sancocho. At 4 p.m., the Digestive Dance will take place with the Atlantis Swing duo, to conclude the events at 8:30 p.m.
