More than 700 students are taking the EBAU exam in Lanzarote, which started this Wednesday with security and hygiene measures due to Covid-19.
The IES Blas Cabrera Felipe and César Manrique are the schools on the island where the tests are being carried out, which will continue until Saturday. This year, the Ministry of Education decided to extend the EBAU by one more day to carry out the tests of the general phase in two days and reduce the number of students per classroom.

According to the island director of Education, Celeste Callero, the exams are being carried out without exceeding 15 students per classroom, maintaining a distance of one and a half meters between students. In addition, the students have had to wear masks and hydroalcoholic gel has been installed at the entrance of each center and classrooms.

Health personnel and Local Police
To ensure that students comply with security and hygiene measures, two Primary Care nurses have been present in each center and with the presence of the Local Police. In addition, according to the island director of Education, non-teaching staff has also been hired.

According to the island director of Education, this Thursday the Deputy Minister of Education of the Government of the Canary Islands, María Dolores Rodríguez, and the Vice-Rector of the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria are scheduled to attend the EBAU tests in Lanzarote.
