The Memoriadelanzarote.com portal, from the Cabildo Data Center, will participate in the Caleta de Famara festivities with a selection of graphic and audiovisual material from the history of the town. The event will take place on August 26 on the pier esplanade, at 8:30 p.m. It is organized in collaboration with the Teguise City Council and the Festival Committee.
The event will feature the participation of Francisco Hernández Delgado, Official Chronicler of Teguise, recently distinguished with the Gold Medal of the Government of the Canary Islands. During the event, dozens of old photographs of the town will be exhibited, which will serve to illustrate details of the historical evolution of the town. The images belong to different collections ceded to Memoria Digital de Lanzarote and the Historical Archive of Teguise. A 1974 German documentary with unpublished images of Caleta de Famara will also be screened.
