Maritime Rescue rescues several inflatable boats heading to Lanzarote this Tuesday

During the early morning, the Guardamar Calíope rescued 180 people and the Salvamar Diphda rescued 71 people

Maritime Rescue has rescued several precarious boats of the pneumatic type in which around 271 migrants were traveling on Tuesday morning. This was reported by the Security and Emergency Consortium, through data from the Canary Islands Emergency and Security Coordinating Center (CECOES).

During the early morning, the Guardamar Calíope rescued 180 people of Maghrebi and sub-Saharan origin, who departed from the coast of Tan-Tan, in Morocco. According to initial estimates, all of them would be in good condition and arrived at the Puerto Naos dock at 7:00 a.m.

Meanwhile, the Salvamar Diphda rescued 71 people of unknown origin. All of them were in good health and arrived at the same port at 7:40 a.m.

Between this Monday, February 10, and this Tuesday, the island's Security and Emergency Consortium puts the number of people arriving on precarious boats to the island at 400.
