Maritime connections between Lanzarote and La Graciosa re-established

The maritime connections between Lanzarote and La Graciosa are now restored. This has been confirmed to La Voz by one of the shipping companies that operates in the port. "The ferries are leaving again with total normality," they have commented to the newspaper. 

The strong wind and waves meant that from last Tuesday until this Wednesday the Eighth Island was isolated. The coast of Lanzarote from the municipality of Haría to Tías the waves wreaked havoc on the beaches, ports, roads and the houses they found in their path. The towns of Arrieta and Punta Mujeres were the most affected by the waves.

The General Directorate of Emergencies of the Government of the Canary Islands has decreed this Thursday the end of the alerts for wind and coastal phenomena.
