The two ferry companies that offer service between the port of Órzola (Lanzarote) and Caleta de Sebo (La Graciosa), the only regular passenger transfer service between the two islands, have had to suspend their service this Tuesday due to the bad sea conditions and strong wind. This has been reported by sources from both shipping companies to La Voz.
Both Biosfera Express and Líneas Romero have reported that due to the "adverse weather conditions" it has been decided to suspend all departures from both ports throughout Tuesday and "until further notice."
Meanwhile, Líneas Romero has added on its website that it will offer a minimum service departing from La Graciosa at 12.30 pm and from Órzola at 1.30 pm.
The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) has recorded wind gusts of up to 80 kilometers per hour at noon this Tuesday in Tías. While in the north of the island, in Haría, the maximum gusts have been up to 65 kilometers per hour this noon. In contrast, the afternoon is expected to reach 90 kilometers per hour in some areas.
