Lanzarote will be represented at the International Fair of Peoples in Fuengirola. Its customs, folklore, gastronomy and attractions cultural, historical and tourist attractions will be presented together with those of 45 other countries and communities in the 40,000 square meters of the Fair. The Peña Madridista has given its stand to the Canary Islands and it has been the murga of Los Desahuciados that has been in charge of organizing this trip, so the island of volcanoes will have special importance in the Fair. Thus, this Monday all the material that will be exhibited at the stand has left for Cádiz.
Visitors will have the opportunity to learn about the stick game, the Canarian ball game, there will be a representation of Canarian wrestling, as well as the parranda La Parra and the Murga de Los Desahuciados.
They will also have the opportunity to taste traditional Canarian food, such as sancocho or sweet potato, and see the typical decoration of the island. Likewise, the Board of Trustees and the Department of Tourism of the Cabildo have provided pamphlets of the island and the Canary Islands, as well as various promotional material.
From this Thursday to Sunday, 48 people will work to publicize Lanzarote at this Fair that will take place from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 a.m. in the morning. Eight people have already left this Monday and the rest will do so on Thursday, together with the councilor of the Haría City Council, Carmen Gloria Figueras.
