The Carcajadas Association and the Yaiza City Council organize and invite "all citizens of the island to take part in the second edition of the Traditional Mascaritas Carnival" of Las Breñas, which will be held on Friday, February 19, in this town.
The great novelty of this initiative is the celebration of the Carnival party, a parade that will start at 7:00 p.m. from the Socio-Cultural Center of Las Breñas, led by the La Hoya party. This same musical group will be in charge of enlivening the dance, which will begin at 10:30 p.m., and which will take place at the town's Socio-Cultural Center.
Throughout the celebration, prizes will be awarded for the best individual costume and the best couple and group costume, provided they are made up of a maximum of six people. In addition, two special prizes will be awarded in the individual and couple categories, for the oldest costume.
The organization reminds that "the only requirement to take part in this party is to attend in disguise and that the masquerades that aspire to any of the prizes must present themselves with their faces covered".
