Last July 4, the international model Helen Lindes and the basketball player Rudy Fernández got married in a "romantic" ceremony that took place in La Fortaleza, a 17th-century castle that occupies the peninsula known as Punta Avançada, in Pollença, Mallorca. And there, in the Balearic Archipelago, Lanzarote, and especially its white wine, were very present.
The wedding brought together well-known faces such as Amaia Salamanca, Pau Gasol, Dani Martínez or Lorena Van Heerde, among others. In total, 200 people were able to enjoy a fresh Malvasía Seco from the Los Bermejos winery, included in the menu at the request of the bride.
Helen Lindes herself recounts all the details of her wedding in her Hola.com blog, and mentions the winery among other nods to Lanzarote that she wanted to include on her wedding day.
From the Regulatory Council they are satisfied to see "one of our references in an event of such magnitude, with the enormous impact, in terms of image and reputation, that this entails. Without a doubt, it represents a great opportunity to promote the quality of Lanzarote wines and, therefore, the island's seal".
