Lanzarote will host the first international meeting "Volcanic Harmonics" and a workshop of experts in "arte-sano" sound therapies. The proposal will be developed from this Wednesday, the 4th, until the next 11th, during the so-called Peace Culture Week.
According to one of its organizers, Valentín Oliveros, this initiative is "totally new" and will bring together "renowned experts" in sound and frequency therapies. At the head will be Conreaux, "one of the most important" experts "worldwide".
The experts will give "master workshops" and during these days, in addition, concerts will be held in different scenarios, such as on Thursday in El Fondeadero, in Puerto del Carmen, and on Saturday in the Municipal Theater of Tías. In addition, a "Harmonic Portal for Peace" will be created, commemorating the 65th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, which is commemorated on the 10th.
The initiative is organized by the Canarian cultural association Isla Universal, and has the collaboration of the Culture area of the Tías City Council. The different workshops of gongs, holistic dances or voice harmonics will take place in the Tegoyo hostel.
Oliveros has highlighted that "since time immemorial, the therapeutic benefits of harmonic sound have been widely recognized and scientifically proven, enhancing meditative and relaxing states". "These sounds have the ability to interact with matter, to penetrate to the very core of our being and transform cellular information, preventing diseases and substantially improving our physical and mental well-being," he argues in a statement.
This international meeting aims to "place the island on the world resonant map" and give "greater diffusion" to other cultures, their instruments and ancestral dances. In turn, this meeting aims to act "as an integrating element" of the different races.
