Lanzarote will be under yellow warning for wind and haze this Monday and Tuesday

Wind gusts could reach 70 kilometers per hour

Lanzarote will be under yellow warning this Monday, February 15, due to strong wind gusts and the presence of haze, as reported by the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet).

Regarding the wind, southeast wind and gusts of up to 70 kilometers per hour (km/h) are expected, mainly affecting the west coast and inland areas.

Regarding the warning for suspended dust, haze is expected with a visibility of 3,000 meters on both islands.

The risk will be activated from 12:00 hours this Monday in Lanzarote and on Tuesday it will be extended to the rest of the archipelago and throughout the day.

On Tuesday, Lanzarote will suffer gusts of up to 80 kilometers per hour. The wind will be from the southeast, with maximum gusts affecting the west coast and inland areas and the channel between Lanzarote and La Graciosa
