Lanzarote has registered this Tuesday the worst data of this sixth wave and one of the worst of the entire pandemic, adding 89 positive cases of Covid in one day. The active cases already amount to 518, after having also notified 25 discharges in the last day.

The increase in diagnosed cases coincides with a significant increase in the number of tests performed. And the day before it reached 975, almost doubling those that were done during the past weekend and leaving one of the highest figures of the entire pandemic.

The accumulated incidence at 7 days has skyrocketed to 268.3 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, with an increase of almost 40 points compared to the previous day. At 14 days it is already at 391.5 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, also with an increase of 40 points compared to Monday.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, 8,292 cases of coronavirus have been diagnosed in Lanzarote, of which 7,721 have already overcome the disease and 54 have died.
