Lanzarote registers 21 new positive cases of Covid although active cases drop to 175

Lanzarote has registered 21 new positive cases of Covid in the last day, six more than the previous day. However, 23 discharges have also been reported, so the active cases have decreased to 175.

Regarding the accumulated incidence, both at seven and 14 days remains unchanged according to data from the Ministry of Health. Specifically, at seven days it stands at 57.8 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, while at 14 days it is at 142.5 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.

Lanzarote has already accumulated 6,232 cases of coronavirus since the pandemic began, of which 50 died and 6,008 have overcome the disease.

Of the 175 active cases, there are four people hospitalized, although none of them in the ICU​, since this Thursday the only patient who was admitted to the critical unit was discharged. Specifically, there are currently two people on the Covid ward of the Molina Orosa Hospital, another in the Emergency Room, and one in the Insular Hospital.

Regarding the number of tests performed, 368 were carried out by the Canary Islands Health Service on the island in the last day.
