A total of 163 people have been rescued in the early hours of this Thursday by Maritime Rescue, as reported by the Emergency Consortium.
The first of them was intercepted at about 11.32 p.m. 20 nautical miles east of Arrecife. There were 59 people traveling in it, 46 men and 13 women, all of sub-Saharan origin and in apparent good health.
When the Guardamar had already rescued the 59 people, they went to rescue the second boat in which 52 migrants were traveling, 17 women and 4 minors among them, they are of sub-Saharan origin and a man of a different nationality, all in apparent good health. This rescue took place at about half past one in the morning 37 nautical miles east of the capital of Lanzarote.
The last third was rescued at about 2 in the morning with 50 men of Maghreb origin.
