Lanzarote has once again reached a historic high since the beginning of the pandemic, adding 463 positives in a single day. Active cases have thus skyrocketed to 3,160, which is almost triple what it was almost a year ago, when the island was experiencing its worst wave.
As for discharges, only 29 have been reported in the last 24 hours, which has contributed to the escalation of these active cases.
The accumulated incidence is also still increasing and stands this Wednesday at 1,381 cases per 100,000 inhabitants in 7 days and 2,220 in 14 days.
In the last day, 1,423 tests were carried out in Lanzarote, of which more than a third tested positive.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, 11,896 cases of coronavirus have been diagnosed in Lanzarote. Of those patients, 8,681 have already overcome the disease and 56 have died.
