Lanzarote adds 322 new positive cases of Covid

Health authorities have reported 322 new positive cases of Covid in Lanzarote. With this figure, the island has already exceeded 10,000 infections so far in the pandemic. 

Active cases stand at 1,674, after adding 158 discharges. Therefore, for the third consecutive day, the island breaks the record for active cases throughout the pandemic.

The cumulative incidence at 7 days continues to grow to reach 908.79 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, an increase of 102 points compared to the previous day. At 14 days it is already at 1,296 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, 169 points more than the previous day.

Regarding the tests carried out, this Monday 1,634 were carried out, an amount even lower than the previous day, when 1,748 were carried out.

The situation at the Molina Orosa hospital has not changed compared to the previous day, since there are currently eleven people admitted with coronavirus in the hospital center, one of them, a 62-year-old man, in the ICU. The ten admitted to the enabled ward are six men and four women, aged between 34 and 98 years old.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, 10,009 cases of coronavirus have been diagnosed in Lanzarote, of which 8,281 have already overcome the disease and 55 have died.
