The Molina de Teguise, declared an Asset of Cultural Interest with the category of Monument, once again looks completely restored and fully operational. The president of the Cabildo, María Dolores Corujo, accompanied by the Minister of Public Works, Jacobo Medina, and the mayor of Teguise, Oswaldo Betancort, visited the facilities this Tuesday, where they all verified 'in situ' the milling process.

The recovery work on this Molina, which has involved an investment of more than 77,000 euros, has been co-financed through the Island Council and the Feder Funds, within the framework of the EDUSI Strategy.

"One of our objectives is to promote the protection, promotion and development of the cultural and natural heritage of urban areas, particularly those of tourist interest," said María Dolores Corujo.

Likewise, the president and the councilor congratulated the master carpenter Juan Agustín Padrón "for his excellent craftsmanship and for his dedication to restoring this beautiful mill, which will serve as a living memory of our history for new generations and for all those who visit us."

The Molina de Teguise is located in the heart of the Villa, next to the Plaza de La Mareta. "This is an emblematic icon that, without a doubt, will become a new point of tourist interest due to its heritage wealth," they emphasize from the Cabildo.
