La Graciosa records wind gusts of more than 95 kilometers per hour

The wind force is expected to decrease significantly this Wednesday.

The wind reached 95 kilometers per hour this Tuesday in La Graciosa. In Lanzarote, according to Aemet data, Haría, Yaiza and Tinajo were where the wind blew the strongest, exceeding 70 kilometers per hour.

In Tías, a gust of 68 kilometers per hour was recorded, and the wind blew the least strong in the airport area.

The yellow warnings for strong winds and waves will be deactivated at 9:00 p.m. this Tuesday, but on Thursday the island will be on pre-alert again due to adverse coastal phenomena, with waves of between four and five meters expected on this day.

For this Wednesday, the wind will begin to subside significantly. The State Meteorological Agency maintains the yellow warning for haze and visibility may drop below 1500 meters occasionally.

In addition, there will be a predominance of cloudy or overcast skies with a probability of scattered weak rains during the early morning, without ruling out that they may be in the form of showers accompanied by electrical storms. As for temperatures, they will not experience major changes.
