The director of tourist establishments and businesswoman Concha Saavedra has been, since mid-March, the new president of the Association of Professional, Entrepreneurial and Business Women "Charter 100 Lanzarote", replacing the lawyer Isabel Martinón in the position.
The association thus restarts its activity after the parenthesis derived from the electoral process that culminated on March 11 and after which a new Board of Directors was consolidated.
"After a few days of adaptation to the state of alarm in which we find ourselves, the Lanzarote charter members, like many other associative and citizen groups, have adapted our way of meeting and managing through teleworking," they explain in a statement.
The association is going to promote a project to "prepare an informative list that brings together the work that NGOs and different groups or entities are doing with the aim of minimizing the negative effect of Covid-19, and thus consolidate a reliable and contrasted bridge of useful information that can be consulted by any citizen who wants to contribute their grain of sand to the cause, whether in the form of donations or volunteer work, while concentrating all the information of interest that is now dispersed and, however, may be useful to meet the different demands and needs of the Lanzarote population at this time."
Charter 100 Lanzarote is committed to serving as a further link between citizens, institutions and the so-called third sector. "Our intention involves the creation of a directory of services available to promote aid for the community and from the community. The platform with which we will publicize this information will be our Facebook profile: Charter 100 Lanzarote," they add.

Curriculum of Concha Saavedra
Concha Saavedra, based in Lanzarote for more than 25 years, has a long professional and business career linked to the tourism sector. Executive Director of Tourist Activity Companies in establishments on the island, she also has extensive experience in Business Management and Administration. In her entrepreneurial facet, she has managed projects for ten years creating business initiatives based on the design and distribution of equipment, as well as a business line oriented to the commercialization of vacation homes. As a defender of the contribution to the Environment, she has been a pioneer in achieving Technological and Sustainable certifications, which accredit her work and her commitment in this field. She currently leads Vitalclass Resort Lanzarote, an integral hotel project located in Costa Teguise.
