The Ministry of Health of the Government of the Canary Islands, through the General Directorate of Public Health, has issued a yellow warning for high temperatures in three municipalities of Lanzarote.
The affected localities are San Bartolomé, Tías and Arrecife. In each case the warnings are in different periods of time. For example, in San Bartolomé it will be maintained between August 18 and 23; in Tías, between August 19 and 23; and in Arrecife, between August 21 and 23.
This warning is part of the Plan of Preventive Actions of the Effects of Excess Temperatures on Health that allows reducing the effects on people's health associated with excessive temperatures and coordinating the institutions of the Canary Islands involved: care and emergency centers, as well as municipalities affected by the forecast of alert situations, in collaboration with the Spanish Meteorological Agency (AEMET).
