The Ministry of Health has added this Friday another suspected case of monkeypox in Lanzarote, bringing the number of patients under study on the island to four. As for the archipelago as a whole, another five positive cases and eight more under study have been confirmed in the last day.

Since the beginning of the declaration of the health alert, there have been 123 confirmed cases in the islands, of which 78 were detected in Gran Canaria, 42 in Tenerife and three in Fuerteventura.

From the Ministry of Health they insist that "all active cases are having mild symptoms and remain in home isolation, receiving follow-up from Primary Care."
