The continuous complaints from Gas users about the inspections they received from companies that charged abusive prices and even left the facilities with gas leaks alerted the Federation of Metal Businessmen of Lanzarote, which has confirmed the presence of phantom companies that pose as entities associated with the Supplying Company DISA. After verifying that these were companies without registered addresses on the Island and without DISA's authorization, they recommend caution with any contracts made.
To avoid scams, Femelan advises requesting the required accreditation from the Gas Supplying Company DISA before contracting any installation or repair. They also warn about the importance of the company issuing, obligatorily, a quote and invoice that must include the commercial name and CIF, as it has been detected that there is a company that delivers documentation where the NIF of a self-employed person appears without their name, which would lead to the invoice being voided.
In order to facilitate information to prevent these cases from recurring, the Lanzarote Business Association has provided a telephone number 928 913 434 and the address of its offices (Calle García Escamez nº 64 - 1º) so that interested parties can get in touch.
