The reading of the proclamation by Maesa Valls Quintana kicked off the Famara festivities this Monday, which will culminate on Sunday, September 1. After the proclamation, the Merekumbé batucada from Muñique was in charge of setting the rhythm for the night.

The festival program includes daytime and nighttime activities and, as a novelty, the schedule of the open-air dances has been brought forward two hours compared to previous years, so they will start at 10 p.m., "with the aim of re-educating the population" and not exceeding 4 a.m. as the deadline for the fun of the youngest.

"Although it is the quintessential summer festival of the municipality, with which the summer season culminates, and we understand that young people are the main consumers, we must also take into consideration the rest of the citizens who want to rest," points out the councilor of the area, Daniel Morales.

The festivities will be located around two areas: the Muelle area, where the main stage is located and where the popular open-air dances will be held; and the so-called Youth Space, located between Erizo and Jamo streets, which will house an attached party area with the best current music.

The end of the festivities will come with the water dance at the pier, music in the Youth Space with DJs and the beer and foam party, as well as a children's playback in La Caleta as a culmination.
