The term of validity of the short-term K122 project of the school entitled “IMPACT+: Inclusion Through Active Practices with ICT and Other Methodologies that Add Value” ended on March 31, 2026. And this week its final report is sent to the National Agency, thus definitively closing the school's third Erasmus project and the first with student mobility.
It has been two intense years of work with the aim of bringing Europe closer to the Playa Honda Educational Community, carrying out 11 mobilities to different European countries - with a total of 36 students, and 13 teachers experiencing it firsthand with experiences on the continent -, 3 student hosting - with 46 students hosted - and different teacher hosting - accommodating more than 30 European teachers in job shadowing - during these two school years.
The project objectives were based on learning strategies to address our diversity, developing innovative methodologies that improved student motivation, and teaching them to face new challenges and emotional management; all under the umbrella of the center's Educational Project objectives. Through teacher experiences in Job Shadowing to Italy, Germany, Greece, and Finland, and student mobilities to France, Germany, Slovenia, Lithuania, and Portugal, they are considered achieved with great satisfaction by the educational center.
The school thanks the families for the trust placed and the collaboration so that their children have had these enriching life experiences; the teaching staff for their willingness, involvement, and time investment throughout the entire project; and the Lanzarote Centers of Art, Culture, and Tourism for their collaboration with our project to achieve the activities. Without the participation of all these agents of the Educational Community, the school believes that it would have been very difficult to achieve the objectives proposed more than two years ago when submitting the project application.
From now on, the CEIP Playa Honda begins a new stage in the Erasmus+ Programme as an Accredited centre in the latest call for 2025, so it expects to know before the end of this term the new funding it will receive for the next school year 2026-2027, where it hopes to continue accommodating all students who request it, as well as finding interesting learning opportunities for teachers in order to continue creating an Educational Community and the best possible educational offering.
