Emergencies declares pre-alert for wind in Lanzarote

The General Directorate expects the presence of an intense trade wind, with maximum gusts of up to 80 kilometers per hour

The General Directorate of Emergencies of the Government of the Canary Islands has established a pre-alert for wind throughout the autonomous community. 

The declaration has been given from 12:00 in the morning this Thursday without a completion date for the moment. The area, which is part of the Ministry of Territorial Policy, Territorial Cohesion and Water, has decided to establish the pre-alert based on the prediction of the State Meteorological Agency and other available sources.

Aemet has also established two yellow warnings in Lanzarote for this Friday and Saturday due to waves, where waves of up to five meters high are expected. 

Specifically, Emergencies expects the presence of an intense trade wind, with maximum gusts of up to 80 kilometers per hour.
