The holidays enjoyed by the population are divided between state holidays, general holidays in the Canary Islands, those chosen by each island, and local holidays.

Now that the new year has begun, it is time to find out what the holidays will be, so that workers can enjoy a short break from their work routine.

The holidays enjoyed by the people of Lanzarote are divided between those marked by the Government of Spain, the general holidays of the Canary Islands, those chosen by each island, and local holidays.

In total, each municipality can choose two local holidays, which means that there are 14 non-working days per year.

Lanzarote Holidays for 2025:

  • January 1: New Year's Day.
  • January 6: Epiphany.
  • April 17 and 18: Holy Thursday and Good Friday.
  • May 1: Labor Day.
  • May 30: Canary Islands Day.
  • August 15: Assumption of the Virgin.
  • November 1: All Saints' Day.
  • December 6: Constitution Day.
  • December 8: Immaculate Conception.
  • September 15: Our Lady of Los Volcanes.
  • December 25: Nativity of the Lord.

  • August 25: San Ginés.

Haría Holidays:

  • March 4: Carnival Tuesday.
  • June 24: Feast of San Juan.

San Bartolomé Holidays:

Tías Holidays:

  • March 4: Carnival Tuesday.

  • June 24: Feast of San Juan.

Teguise Holidays:

  • July 16: Feast of Our Lady of Carmen.
  • August 5: Feast of Our Lady of Las Nieves.

Tinajo Holidays:

  • March 4: Carnival Tuesday.
  • August 16: Feast of San Roque.

Yaiza Holidays:

  • July 7: San Marcial de Rubicón.
