'Lanzarote Limpia' Cleanup in Caleta de Caballo.

Around 15 migrant minors from the Volcán de Timanfaya center in Playa Honda have joined the waste collection activities on the coastline between Caleta de Caballo and Famara beach. The day, organized by the non-profit association Lanzarote Limpia, seeks to contribute to the environment by removing waste from the coast.

The person in charge of these walks, Aduén Morales, has told La Voz how the day of last Sunday, January 26, went, in which migrant minors collected around 200 kilograms of marine litter together with local volunteers.

This type of action is promoted by the Management of the Playa Honda center, which, according to Morales' testimony, tries to integrate the minors through different activities on the island. On this occasion, the 15 boys came from Morocco and Gambia and arrived on the island through irregular boats.

In addition, they will join the next activity planned by Lanzarote Limpia in two weeks. On this occasion, the largest amount of marine litter they collected was plastic and other petroleum derivatives. In addition, they also collected cans, bottles and wood
