The gastronomy documentary, "José Andrés & Family in Spain," filmed in Lanzarote and other locations in Spain, has won an Emmy for Outstanding Culinary Series, as reported by the chef himself on his social media.
"I am incredibly proud of my daughters... Carlota, Inés, Lucía, having the opportunity to travel and create this project with you, uniting our love for Spain and the United States and sharing it with the world is an experience I will never forget!," said José Andrés.
As will be recalled, the international chef traveled to various parts of the country accompanied by his three daughters to carry out a documentary report on the best of Spanish cuisine. In the Canary Islands, he only traveled to Lanzarote, where he visited several local restaurants to taste and learn about the best of Canarian food, such as "El Risco" in Famara, the "Bodega de Santiago" in Yaiza, and "Casa Juan" in Uga. One of the island's products that José Andrés liked the most was the Gambas de La Santa.
During his stay on the island, the chef also enjoyed the culture of the islands, such as Canarian wrestling, and visited the northern wrestling arena "Luis Montero Barreto" to watch the fight between Unión Norte and Tinajo, where he was accompanied by Aduén Morales, director of Unión Norte.
