The arrival of the high-impact storm Therese has forced the expansion of yellow warnings for wind and waves also for Friday in Lanzarote. The entry of this storm and its associated cold fronts will begin to be felt from Wednesday afternoon, with wind gusts of up to 70 kilometers per hour and waves of up to five meters, which could double their size at specific times.
From Wednesday afternoon, Aemet forecasts the arrival of rains which could occur in the form of showers, with southwest wind with strong intervals and a low probability of locally strong gusts in the afternoon.
Looking ahead to this Thursday, the weather forecast marks the arrival of rains especially in the first half of the day. While temperatures will continue with few changes, the wind will blow from the southwest strengthening to strong in the afternoon, with locally strong gusts.
This Thursday the island is under yellow alert for swell from 12:00 hours in the morning until 12:00 hours in the morning on Friday 20 and under yellow alert for wind from 15:00 hours in the afternoon on Thursday until 6:00 hours in the morning on Friday.
