The Arrecife City Council has repopulated the Jorge Nieves Park, located in the Argana Alta neighborhood, by planting a dragon tree donated by the family.

The Department of Parks and Gardens, led by David Toledo, was the one who planted the tree in the Arganero park. The family has appreciated the act, pointing out that "they have had the courtesy to replant in the area a dragon tree donated by its heirs".

Jorge Nieves, who died on June 4, 2017, "dedicated himself for years to the care of this space in the capital of Lanzarote", as his relatives recall, who affirm that with this initiative "his memory is honored and the work he carried out in the care of this enclave of the city is recognized."
