The streets and squares of the different neighborhoods of Arrecife have already begun, for several days, to display the first Christmas lights and decorations.
"The intention, in addition to Arrecife shining with an attractive Christmas atmosphere for residents, is to promote commercial activity," said the Councilor for Tourism and Roads and Works, David Duarte, who is supervising the installation, which is being carried out by the company Porgesa S.A.
According to the councilor, "this year's material is innovative and extremely respectful of the Environment." Specifically, the city will be illuminated with 735,000 LED points distributed throughout different locations. In total, there are 7,400 meters of LED micro-lamps, about three hundred decorations, in addition to 15 meters of LED micro-lamps and several details "that will surprise with their originality." All of this will represent "about 39,000 watts of consumption," according to the City Council.
