Application period for places in Infant and Primary schools for the next academic year is now open

Once the different application periods have ended, the provisional lists of admitted, not admitted and excluded applications will be published on May 26 for Infant and Primary and on June 5 for Secondary and Baccalaureate.

The Ministry of Education, Vocational Training, Physical Activity and Sports of the Government of the Canary Islands begins this Monday, with Early Childhood and Primary Education, the schedule for applying for places for the next 2025/2026 academic year. In a staggered manner, on April 7 the registration for Compulsory Secondary Education (ESO), Vocational Training (FP) and Basic Education for Adults will begin, on April 22, that of Baccalaureate, and on April 23, the Baccalaureate for Adults. The qualifications included in Special Regime Education will open their respective deadlines between April 7 and 8.

The General Directorate of Center Administration, School Enrollment and Complementary Services, headed by David Crego, in collaboration with the General Directorate of Vocational Training and Special Regime Education, of Carolina León, convenes this process that affects students from more than eight hundred educational centers supported with public funds —public and subsidized— in the Canary Islands.

The list of courses and educational centers, the access requirements, the admission and enrollment schedule and any other relevant information can already be consulted on the website of the Ministry of Education: Admission and enrollment of students 2025/2026.

Interested parties can submit the application and the required documentation in each case electronically, through the same page, or in person at the center chosen as the first option, where they can obtain the form to complete.

 

Infant and Primary, ESO and Baccalaureate

The registration schedule for Infant and Primary will remain open until April 14, that of ESO, from April 7 to 21, and that of Baccalaureate, from April 22 to May 12. Once the different application periods have ended, the provisional lists of admitted, not admitted and excluded applications will be published on May 26 for Infant and Primary and on June 5 for Secondary and Baccalaureate. Likewise, the period for allegations to the provisional lists and waivers of applications is established between May 26 and 28 for Infant and Primary and from June 5 to 9 for ESO and Baccalaureate.

Subsequently, the final lists of admitted, not admitted and excluded people in Early Childhood and Primary Education will be published on June 16. Those corresponding to ESO and Baccalaureate will be announced on June 26.

The enrollment period for continuing students will be from May 9 to 29 for Infant and Primary, for ESO and Baccalaureate it will be from June 20 to July 8. While the formalization of enrollment for students participating in the admission procedure will be from June 16 to 27 for Infant and Primary and from June 26 to July 8 for ESO and Baccalaureate.

 

Vocational Training and Special Regime Education

For the second consecutive year, Education is advancing the schedule for submitting admission applications for FP, training cycles of Plastic Arts and Design, Sports Education, Elementary and Professional Music Education, Higher Artistic Education: Design, Music and Dramatic Art and official language schools.

The application period for places for basic, intermediate and higher grade FP training cycles will be from April 7 to 23. The publication of the provisional list of admitted, reserved and excluded applications in each center will be made on June 4, and the period for claims or waivers is established between June 4 and 6, while the final list will be made public on June 25.

For registration in Basic Education Centers for Adults, the deadline will remain open from April 7 to 28, the provisional lists of admitted, not admitted and excluded applications will be published on June 6, the final lists on June 27, and the period for claims to the provisional lists and waivers of applications is established from June 6 to 11. For its part, Baccalaureate for Adults will have the registration period open from April 23 to May 13 and will publish its provisional and final lists on June 6 and June 27, respectively.

In the case of intermediate and higher grade training cycles of Plastic Arts and Design, the deadline for applying for a place and registering for the specific access test is scheduled from April 7 to 23. On April 29, the provisional lists of applications for a place and registration for the specific access test will be published and on May 8 the final lists, with the date chosen for the access exam being May 15.

The intermediate and higher grade training cycles of Sports Education will keep the period for applying for a place and registering for the access tests open from April 7 to 23, the publication of the provisional lists of registered students will be on May 5, and the final lists on May 9. The access tests will be held from May 12 to 15. 

For students of Elementary and Professional Music Education, the period for applying for places and registering for the access tests will open from April 8 to 30. After the publication of the provisional lists of registered students on May 5 and the final lists on May 9, the access tests for admission will be held between June 10 and 20. 

The schedule for the Design and Music specialties of Higher Artistic Education begins from April 8 to May 23 with the deadline for applying for a place and registering for the access test. The provisional lists for the specific tests —June 10 for the Design specialty and from June 9 to 11 for the Music specialty— will be made public on May 28 and the final lists on June 5, after a claim period from June 2 to 4.

Those interested in applying for a place and registering for the specific test of Higher Artistic Education in Dramatic Art have until June 13 from April 8. The provisional lists of registered students for the specific access test will be published on June 16 and the final lists on June 20, after a claim period from June 17 to 19. These tests, divided into two parts, are scheduled for July 7 and from July 8 to 15, respectively.

Finally, the application for a place in the Official Language Schools will open from April 8 to 30. On May 19, the provisional list of people who have requested to take the classification test will be published, which will take place between June 4 and 6. The provisional lists of admitted, reserved or excluded applicants will be published on June 16 and the final lists on June 23. The formalization of enrollment for newly admitted students will be from June 24 to July 10.

With this, the Ministry of Education, Vocational Training, Physical Activity and Sports has already organized and published the complete schedule for applying for a place in all available courses and education.
