The President of the Government of the Canary Islands, Ángel Víctor Torres, has been in La Graciosa since last weekend, enjoying a few days of vacation with his son, according to sources from the eighth island to the newspaper La Provincia.
Torres plans to stay until this Tuesday in the Graciosa paradise, where he has rented an apartment and has been seen relaxed enjoying his rest, in casual clothes and in very good harmony with its inhabitants.
In fact, the Canarian president has had very good friends for decades in La Graciosa, especially with a Graciosa teacher who has been living for years in Arucas, a municipality of which Torres was mayor before becoming a regional leader.
The president was presented with the book "Written in the Sand" by Jesús Manuel Páez, from La Graciosa. The publication brings together stories from the eighth island and its best-known inhabitants.
