The residents of the town of El Mojón are celebrating these days the festivities in honor of Our Lady of the Rosary with different events dedicated to the little ones, young people and adults.

The first event with the festivities was last Thursday, October 16 with the reading of the proclamation "Reviews of Our Town", by the neighbor Ana Cabrera de León. Ana Cabrera, at 84 years old, traveled from Los Estancos in Fuerteventura and told the neighbors who came to the C.S.C. Guenia her biography. Cabrera recounted how her first contact with the school world began at the age of 8, traveling four times a day walking from El Mojón to Los Valles. She managed to have a good preparation that led her to the "doors of the University and because of Cupid she left it parked when she met the young Ramón Concepción". She married him despite the opposition of her family because he was ten years older than her  and had ten children as a result of her marriage.

She also recounted her changes of residence "to be able to support the family on the island of Tenerife, in the Spanish Sahara and finally, Fuerteventura" in the town of Los Estancos where she currently resides.

Among the people who came to enjoy the memories and experiences of Ana Cabrera were the mayor of the Teguise city council, Oswaldo Betancort  and some councilors from the government group. After the delivery of plaques and bouquets of flowers, Isabel Rodríguez Cejas recited a poem dedicated to the mills and finally everyone shared a Canarian enyesque.
